    It is one of these: Schaumburg Lippe Cross for True Service. I believe only 12 or so were issued so chances of finding an original are problematic.

        It should be mentioned that this is a 1st cass cross. To your question, it is my understanding that 1st class crosses were (almost?) exclusively awarded to royalty. According to Nimmergut, 16 were awarded.

          36 pieces is the correct number (according to: Henning Volle / "Stiftungen und Erneuerungen von deutschen Orden und Ehrenzeichen im Ersten Weltkrieg"; Konstanz 2014).

            I believe all the awarded pieces were made by Godet as well.
