1914 EK 1 One Piece, not magnetic Schickle???

Hi Gentlemen,

got this ic today. It is a one piece not magnetic, so first i thought it must be a Schickle made one (design would fit a Schickle, or?).

But after research i'm no longer sure, cause i find it only with other hook.

What do you think? Schickle, other maker, or worst case not original?

I believe you are right in thinking that it's a Schickle.

The pin can be a replacement, and hook had some rough time too. Beside that, a honest worn (beaten) example, original IMHO.

I agree and I would never attempt fixing the catch or hook as it would most likely break off

By the way I will not try to repair the catch, high risk and i like it as it is.

I think the pin is no replacement, but very much bent

Repairing won't improve the cross, i think it will reduce value further...
Just leave it as it is and enjoy your nice cross

The cross was in bad storage for a long time, so it lost something auf its paint since i've got it.
But i hope that stoped now, in a better climate.
By the way, I dont want to try any repair
