It's a nice, original cross from an unknown maker. The core is one of the better
detailed styles known as the "slant W" core because of the pronounced shape
of the "W". This core was used by more than one different maker which is
one reason we have as yet not been able to nail down a specific maker.
Being vaulted and stamped for silver content means this was most likely
a private purchase cross.
