I think I've seen one of those for sale, and it wasn't cheap.

We have a member here who's mother has a collection of skull steins.
I did a search for the old thread but found the pictures were gone. Perhaps

I believe that this type of stein, as an "official" regimental stein, was unique to (Braunschweig) hussar regiment nr. 17.

Ebay has waves of them. I think the original Hussar ones are very rare but there are many copies...
If you go on german ebay and type in "totenkopf krug" you will find dozens, almost all copies and many of the copies being sold as student association beer mugs.Comment
