besides being a very nice item to have
it is important period evidence fore the a type and frame characteristics of the 1870 ..
(al do some dont care a rats (a s s ) for such evidence
those crosses are what the collector can buy without any doubts,,,

if you would have told someone it was worn in such a way they all would have said its impossible ...espacially the hardcore bar collectors....
now ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,period proof without a doubt .
by the way its not the only one ,,,I seen espacially in the 1870 era the most crazy way's of wearing the medals ,,
a lot of veterans did not care all to much about regulations back then ,,,
money isues would have played a role to
