Based upon the two die flaws near the bow that badge should be a Schott badge. Based upon the reverse it is not. I think it is a well made copy with a bogus mark.

Was there a Godet U-Boat badge produced in the 30s?

Good question. I wonder if this could be a Klietman piece from the 50s? He supposedly made Godets. He also supposedly acquird dies from other producers. I guess we will never know.

For what it's worth, here's the image from Klietmann's "Deutsche Auszeichnungen", published in 1957, which looks more like the Deumer obverse design than the Schott.

The mark isn't bad but I believe it's a fake (or at least not the same as on a Godet EK1).
