I just saw a EK1, Godet with hooks on the Militaria-Berlin friday update for $1582.00 USD. It's a nice looking example but have prices for these really reached this level? That's more than double what I paid for one a few years ago. There is also a Hansen screwback for almost $1100.

I also noticed both crosses, nice crosses especially the godet
I share the thought with you that they were cheaper (if anything in that price range is cheap) but obviously some people are ready to pay that.
Seems like everything has gone up in the price comapred to what they costed 1 or 2 years ago.
(Many people asking = too many collectors )

I believe a more correct price would be $1K for a "standard" version like that one.
It hasn't sold at $1582, and it's a very desirable version, so I assume most people think it's overpriced also.

Excellent Trevor!
We all should know by now that when it comes to rare items the price is usually mutually decided on by the seller and buyer. The ultimate value is in the eye of the beholder.
It all depends on how much you value a very rare item over the promise of fiat value we tend to give paper money.
All the best!

I had this type ek1 with hooks Godet Berlin on the e-stand this year which didn't sell for 550 euro. I sold it for 500 euro.
So I think that 1000$ is way too much.
Kind regards,
Michel
to sad we dont have a pinned E stand highlights section
if we would have,,,,,,,,,,,,,, everyone would get a better picture of reality .
price wise and rarity wise .
and know how good the e stand wryly is

I have managed to pick up a few great items from the E-stand during my short time in WAF, can't even imagine what the others have picked up during the years!
Would be interesting to see
