It's an odd cross. If I saw it by itself (without the combo) I might think it was ok, but it's hard to say for sure. It is certainly not a "type" I know well.

In my opinion the Combo is probably put-together recently. It would have been very difficult to wear this piece without a hook on the Spange, and the workmanship appears modern to me.

Usually when something is too good to be true, it often isn't true. The number of authentic examples of this EK/Spange combo that are out there has to be in a very small proportion to the fakes. And as another poster pointed out, the price seems way too low for a real example. These have been seen in wear in period photos but real ones are rare and I'm not sure how much we really know about them even.

The core it appears ok but for me, personal opinion, is the hardware behind wrong.

I' m ready to make public exscuses if I saw a wrong piece, but is important for Thomas bring the correct and unquestionable info.

For me all my pieces would be good, and more and more in this case.
