long ribbon bar for review

I was looking at this long bar and combination seems correct to me, but then I noticed the reverse - there's no stitches, ribbons must be glued together. This is a no-go, or am I missing something? Swords are not in line either, as they should be if holes were factory-punched?

Nobody bothers to comment? Is it so obvious or I missed completely?

The combination makes sense and the lack of backing is OK. I think it is OK.

Thank you Paul, I appreciate your opinion! I was not concerned by the lack of baking material, but by the lack of (visible) stitching. The ribbons look glued together ot me and I was not sure if that technique (although completely possible) was used by bar makers back then.
