You gota love those AWS 1870s
It amazes me as to how much we have learned on this forum in the resent years.
Only 8 years ago, I was posting my AWS 1870 and know one knew what it was for sure.
I was being told everything from TR era replacement to out right fake.

I was just thinking the same thing. A lot of our discoveries and research from this forum have spilled over to other forums worldwide, too. People regularly post AWS EK2s on other forums and correctly name the maker without quite knowing the work that went into it right here on WAF Imperial. Same with other discoveries like the Ninth Bead 1870 fake, the Step-side 1813 fake, etc.: all done right here.
                Best regards,

listing the things researched and started out here ,,,,

the list is longer then I imagine,,

to bad we have no pinned section fore the imperial discovery's on WAF .
all fades away in old threads lost in history
swapped away by the newer treads following them .
no one looking in old threads to look to where it all started .

                  sad ,,,,K

Maybe make up a "Trophy/discovery" thread,
which consists of these researches and discoveries made in WAF?

Doesn't sound like a too bad idea in my opinion what Kay suggested...

Many thanks to you all for the welcome positive comments.
It was not easy to find these pieces, with this quality and at the right price in Italy.
In my country there are not many collectors who appreciate this historical period.
With regard to the research of this forum, I can only say that if my "pathology" has worsened is only thanks to you !!!!!
                      Best regards Alex
