This gem was auctioned yesterday by apple tree auction center as unclaimed safe deposite item. Went for 7500$ plus commission, still a stealing price.
I hope someone here got it.

I somehow doubt that playing nice would have a positive effect either. Some people just want to be ornery for the sake of being ornery. I wonder why people like Michael N. are members here if they don't want to contribute anything (I've never seen him post before). His brief answer to Don was rude, plain and simple.

Still, I agree that negative comments are likely counter-productive.

Anyway, as far as the cross is concerned, I like it too, for what it's worth.

Unfortunatly no, however it's not hard to see the quality and condition of this particular piece even based on this distanced shot.

I was hoping if any forum member who bought it or have requested additional photos from auctioner could share more details, that would be wonderful.
