I believe that would be Gebrüder Friedländer.

    Best regards,

Tom, what do you base that on? Aren't their EK's marked "Fr"?

          Friedländer did not produce them.

F could be Samuel Friedeberg & Söhne (SFS)

The most pieces were produced by the Oertel Münze, Berlin. (orbit mark)

Well maybe it's Friedeberg as romisch states,

but also could it be Friedlander as Tom says. I've got a nice medalbar with Friedlander EK and "F" marked war aid cross. This could be a track.

                Hi guys,

Sorry if I have mislead anyone with incorrect information. I have had a few of these Prussian Crosses for War Aid marked 'F' and always assumed it to be Friedländer. In my reply I used the words, "I believe that would be...." and as many will say, "believing is not knowing."

Don is absolutely correct, of course. Friedländer did use 'Fr' on their Iron Crosses, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they used the same marking for everything they made. Glaser & Sohn, for instance, used 'G', 'G&S', and also their name spelled out. So, in my opinion, 'F' could still be Friedländer. That is what I always believed, but it is certainly not fact.

Now, if the statement by römischIX, "Friedländer did not produce them" is factual, then I am definitely wrong and have learned something new. It is always great to learn. Once again, sorry for misleading anyone with incorrect information.

                Best regards,
                Tom
