The information on the reverse is only about the studio and says nothing about the soldier depicted. The studio is B. Wendsche formerly Gieseler located in Ingolstadt. It also notes the studio is open Sundays and holidays. -
It's possible that this is a post-WWI photo. The lack of a second cap cockade, the Polish style cuffs and the non-Bavarian officer's pattern sword knot, give me the impression that this fellow is a policeman or some other non-military official.
