    Silberne Bayerische Tapferkeitsmedaille

    Hi All,

I would like to show you my latest acquisition and one of the most important pieces in my collection.

It is a Bayerische Militärverdienstmedaille (Silber) or Tapferkeitsmedaille made by the Münzhof in Munich and marked by J. Ries in the front and also marked in the back (6 O'Clock).

This Model was given between 1871 (but maybe introduced later) and 1920. This version in particular was a late war piece.

Also, I would like to compare it with my other one, from the Period 1849 (minimum) until 1871 (maybe a bit later too). This one was given during the war against France in 1870/71.

    Best Regards

    Antonio
