Have a look at the inner inkstamps: "kompagnie"..or "..kompagniefuehrer".. What about them? Grammatical error or true german language?
I know "kompanie"..not kompagnie........

Fake inkstamps or other explanations?

"old" german only , many military terms came from french and were slowly
"germanized" , especially before WW2 .
The use of "modern" terms and "old" terms could be seen ...

You can occasionally see it spelled "Companie" and "Compagnie" as well, which is likely due to regional dialects influenced by French.

By the way, the price for this is absurd even with the China and Western Front service. I'd say no more than $65-75 tops in this condition. Some of these American dealers are insane.
