Input needed on 1870 EK1 by AWS

Hello,

I need help with an 1870 EK1. I understand that AWS made an 1870 EK1 from viewing Trevor's excellent thread: http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...light=1870+AWS

Can anyone verify a waffle back version of the 1870 EK1 made by AWS?

I'll post photos of a cross that I am considering. Unfortunately I have only 2-photos of the cross.

Hi Alan,

That's an AWS all right. Made as a display or duplicate during or after WWI. Interesting piece.

If you don't buy it, please PM the info as I might be interested.

yep aws ,,pillow back

but you have to realize that ek is a later version

the stamp and waffle's on the back bringing the production date up to 1914 / 1940.

I know a piece without Waffeln - i think those pieces were made between 1900 - 1918
