                I had another question for the forum members. How common were these cases with the "1914" embossed on the lid? Thanks.

                  Nice cross and case I guess that cases with date are somewhat rarer than the usual ones but saying that I have seen quite a few. Here's a case for an EK2 (this is the only photo I have right now but trust me the details of the cross are on the lid with date, etc..)

                              Not sure if this was for shop displays or if the recipient was supposed to display it that way in the china cabinet at home The ribbon came with the cross but there is not really any place to put it when the case is in the "display mode"...
