    German-bulgarian-austrian-turkish bar

Today i got another new one from another collector. (No this bar was not cheap ) Bars with 3 foreign medals on it are hard to find.

The bar looked very poor. The Iron cross was totally full of rust and had a damaged ring. The AEZ (honour medal on white-orange ribbon) was missing. The long service clasp had a damaged needle system.
The most medals were placed in a very bad style on the wrong ribbons, so i tried to repair this nice and rare bar. I replaced a very nice Godet-Iron cross with a good patina, a untouched long service clasp, and the missing AEZ - not an easy job and the bar doesn`t have a mint condition - but it is 80 years old and i like it.

    The bar has now:
    Iron cross (Godet)
Hindenburg cross with swords (marker PSL)
Long service clasp / long service cross 25 years (last version)
    AEZ silver grade
Centenialmedal (missing, i can`t replace it, between the AEZ and the bulgarian
there`s not enough space under the ribbon)
Bulgaria Military merit order 6th class with crown and X
Austria golden merit cross (a Kunz one with * hallmark for gilded bronce)
and at last i added one of my turkish war medals. This one has "Zapponlack" on it.
(we call this zapponisiert; in earlier times Zapponlack was used for preserving enamels, coins...) It´s a standard BB& Co piece.

I think he was an NCO, may be a mariner because of the dark backing wool and the AEZ; may be a chief warrant officer (they called it "Deckoffizier").

    Thanks for watching

Gee whiz, another nice bar. You must have a different bar for each day of the year A great combination.

                      Cheers.

Curious as to why most of the ribbons are in such a bad state as this bar couldn't have been assembled before 1943 because of the Hindy medal

Don has one too; i didn`t had the money as it was offered.

Good question about the ribbons, in Germany there are a lot of old buildings with humidity in cellars....may be because of that...? Or somebody removed the original
decorations in a violent way.. no idea.

No i have no 365 bars like days of a year may be in 10 years...
