1914 2nd Cl. Iron Cross- Thoughts?

To me, both dates on the pictured cross look a bit odd. I was wondering if anyone had similar thoughts on this point, or any other. I'll be greatly interested in reading all replies offered.

Yes, it's odd but authentic. Maker is L/57 or L59, time period is WWII.

I hadn't yet considered the possibility that this cross could be of WWII era construction. However, now that you point it out, this would explain many of the unusual traits.
