Imperial Tank Badge ???

Good afternoon fellows. I had this one come across on an email. I've never seen one like this, and just not sure what to make of it. Looks like an Imperial era badge or at least one trying to be. The reverse is really crude. Looks like a fake but I thought it'd be best to check. I appreciate you guys taking a glance at this thing.
