It's an authentic piece, but not necessarily military in nature. The Wappen is most likely from a city or town (I can't see all of it clearly).

Most certainly an Alpine Club. But, I think it's old.

From what I can see, it appears to be the Hungarian coat of arms. They do own mountains, so alpine club makes sense.
