    Information needed!

Happy new year to all, and a successful 2015!

Guys I need your expertise! The problem is that I don't know much about this cross... If is original, what model is, it's rarity, if is a certain producer, which is more rare, stuff like this and finally it's price approx. I found that is related to Hohenzollern family, and its civil orders, but the information's found about or pictures with this cross, are not many and not clear to me, so I come to you for more.

I thank you all in advance for any information!

    Best regards,
    Alex

This looks like the Hohenzollern Silver Merit Cross (1910).

Certainly an uncommon piece. Civil award, but did come with swords and Crown? Also had a Gold class. Valuable to a specific collector.

If I may ask, where did you find it?

        Thank you both for information's!
I would like to make a recapitulation of what I understood from German translation

        - up to 1844 this was a order split in for classes (1.2 class cross, 3,4, class medals)
        - between 1844-1852 a third class was added + the 2 medals
        - 1866 the order had received it's swords
        - 1891 a change was made by adding a commander cross between 1 and 2 class
        - 1910 the crown was added to the model
        - 1918-1935 not many where given
        - 1941 again the crown appears...

        is this correct?

is this the model between 1910-1935?

is this the model between 1910-1935?

i found it in my home town, Brasov, Romania
i have no idea how it got here, the order came along with a Bulgarian civil merit cross, 5th class
can someone tell me if that OEK nr. 1037 is a catalog reference? if yes, can someone tell me more about that catalog?

i wish you all the best!
          Alex.

It would be nice to find out if that is true and where I can find that information, beside the one given on the link, which by the way, was very helpful even that some facts, i think, have been lost in translation. Thank you again!
On the other hand, since it's appear to be a rare decoration, I was expecting more people to talk about it... , or it's so rare, that information's are not available, fact that can only make me happy and sad on the same time
It would be nice to see, which kind of person may have received one, for what deeds...
maybe someone will show another example, or another class...

Anyway, I thank you all for posting and reading the topic

              have a nice week-end,
              best regards,
              Alex
