    Another brutal beating on Ebay

This one came and went in a hurry:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...500440326&rd=1

Perhaps the "Buy it Now" feature should be re-named "Show the World You're an Idiot Now." This sucker dropped a thousand dollars on a 25 dollar repro because the seller said it was "100% original." It must be true if he said so.

I saw that one, too. Looks like your basic S&L copy, on what he claims to be an original ribbon. But private feedback? That's almost like saying "I'm a crook, so don't buy from me unless you want to be cheated."

The seller has almost 1200 feedbacks of which 99% are positive. Should we give him the benefit of the doubt? Maybe he didn't know. Secondly, should the buyer and/or seller be notified it is a fake?

I don't know these pieces at all, but I certainly take your word for it.

I feel bad for the buyer at any rate.

I'm certainly no expert on PLMs, but I know that this one is no good.

This seller generally sells original items and if you know what you're buying you can come away with some nice things. However, much of what this guy/gal sells is total junk. I have seen this seller with more junk medal bars than anyone else. I think one of the problems here is that the seller receives positive feedback brom buyers who don't know they've just wasted their money. Also, even though this person has a lot of positive feedback, there quite a few neutrals and negatives.

I used to think that this persn really didn't know what he/she was selling and innocently sold bad items on occasion. But, I think listing a Cased PLM or a BIN price of $999 is pretty shady. Either it's worth $50 as fake or it's worth thousands as original. A price like this makes me think the seller is trying to squeeze the most out of a fake item and an ignorant buyer.

Hey Brian .... I bought a bar from this guy, genuine bar, but what a job I had to get it delivered. It took over a month and a half to receive it, he just kept making excuses. It was only when I threatened to report him to eBay and Paypal for non delivery that the bar suddenly turned up within 3 days of posting.
Never again, even if it was the most wanted item on my list, would I buy from him

I've bought from that seller before, and from everything I've heard about them, they seem genuine, but clueless. They scour flea markets and then throw it up on eBay.

Now look what he's done ...... hidden his feedback, with an excuse that people are out to get him

I've only bought one item from him. A pack of german cigarettes, this was about a month ago, it took him a week to get back to me with shipping costs and I am now waiting to see when I get the item.

Greg, If you don't receive the item within a reasonabe time, post a negative feedback, that is the only way I got the item I bid on. He just hates the bad publicity. This guy is sure on some sort of scam, if it's not bad then he takes his time in sending it and makes all the excuses under the sun as to why it hasn't arrived.

I hope this one I bought from him on ebay isn't messed with. Opinions? At least it was cheap, but cheap isn't a good price for something bad either...
