    The Nicest wound badge doc

This doc was part of a group for Gottlieb Porsch of IR144. I also have his brothers promotion and EK2 doc. They were both in IR144. I am still going through the entire group. You will nice with this doc that is does not say silver wound badge but second wound. It is signed by Major v. Renouard battalion commandard. Also of note is that fact that it is dated in 1920.

      Wound Badge Document

      Paul,

That is a very nice document. Looks like it may have been designed by a unit member. Examples that are this ornate are few and far between.

      Best regards,
      Chip

Beautiful Wound badge document The badge could have been any of the three depending on the severity of his wounds.

          Great doc, Paul!!

Very interesting. Could this be an award for the Black badge for two wounds suffered at the same time? Is there an earlier wound doc with the group?

            Nice, very nice.
Also, indicative proof that wound badges were awarded/bestowed at the Regimental level-at least after the war was over.

Once I get some of the letters translated I should have an answer on the double wound.

is it only because im tired or do you also think, that the face of the wounded soldier looks like a womans face?

Very nice wound badge doc I also thought the soldiers face looked a little feminine.

That was my first thought when I saw the doc that the face looked like a women.
