Max Ritter von Mulzer-Question?

Hi folks,
I am trying to do a frammed display with a Sanke card of Max Ritter von Mulzer. What class of Bavarian Military Merit Order is he wearing on his medalbar second from left in Sanke card number 397. Is it a first class?

By the way, these displays are going to go up in my son's bedroom.:-) In addition, I have found some WWI aircraft wallpaper trim as well. Is that sick or what?:-) This will all happen in a few years though.

He received the Military Merit Order 4th Class with Swords, but I don't know on what date: the recently published rolls for that class only cover Captains and up.

Thanks, but in the postcard it does not look blue. That is why I thought it was the lower class with silver arms and white center.

Here's a picture taken from the book "Aviation Awards of Imperial Germany in WWI, and the men who earned them", by Neal W. O'Connor, page 300.

Can you tell me why the book's author call it replication? Does it mean that some German Imperial awards' enthusiast has put together bars of German famous WWI pilots for displaying them?

Yes, my late friend Neal O'Connor spent years finding loose awards to mount up as "famous chests" to display in his museum--and all are now in Berlin. He never destroyed original bars, and always used new ribbons, of course.

Here is the postcard, Jody sent me-- it has his MVO4X in first place, but his Military-Max-Joseph-Order has been airbrushed in, since he didn't live long enough to get his medals remounted.
