Prussian Pilot's Badge and Observer's Badge

    So I guess my last question is this: on the Observer's Badge, is that type of enameled signal flag in red, black, and white, definitely a post-WWI type? Who knows when the repaIr was made .... So I'm wondering if that type of enamel was NOT made during wartime. Thanks again for all of the help!

      The enamel type with the pebbled back/base and transparent red is typical 30's . Never seen it on a purported war time piece as standard. As I said this maker made these in war time and after so the only rough clue to dating is the crown arch flaw ....or lack of it . Ferg

        It is fore sure a post WW1 badge. Bothe the badge and the enameled device.

          Thanks for all of the comments guys. I love these badges, and that, as we all know, is what matters most. As the Pilot's Badge came with the stickpin, I guess I just have to find an Observer's stickpin to round out the set. Again, many thanks!
