    Ribbon Bar-what medals

    Hello,
I got this from a picker in Kentucky many years ago. I tried to look through ribbon charts to see what they were, but some from the different states are so similar that I can't tell for sure. Below is my read, what do you think?
    Thank you,
    Dale

1 - Bavarian MVK?, there is a very lightly colored center stripe that may have been light blue at one time
2 - I can't find this one, but believe it is Bavarian, maybe a fireman's cross
    3 - Hindy Kreuz
    4 - 25 year civil service
    5 - ?
    6 - Hungarian war service
    7 - Tyrolean war memorial

    Hi,

    The ribbons represent:

    2. Bavarian Ludwig Medal
    5. Bavarian Jubilee Medal
    7. Bulgarian Commemorative Medal 1915-1918

A very nice original ribbon bar.

    Kind regards
    Pierce

Thanks, Pierce, but one question. Is the Jubilee medal also called the Luitpold Cross? That's the only one I can find that's even close, though it has green on the ribbon that I can't find on this one.

        Hi Dale,

Try looking up 1905 or 1911 Bavarian Jubilee Medal (Jubilee of Prince Luitpold). You should find what you are looking for, It is not a cross, but an oval shaped medal.

Thanks Pierce, I found it, but it has dark green that isn't present on this ribbon. However, I think what now looks off white is actually a green that, like the light blue stripe on the MVK, has faded over time. Interesting that when I look at the little part of these ribbons visible on the reverse, these stripes are the same color, so I guess the fading over time had to do more with the dye used than with sun light.

          I appreciate your help!

            Hi Dale,

            Yes, the ribbon has faded.

A further note for you regarding this ribbon- the same ribbon was used for the Golden Wedding Anniversary Commemorative Medal.
