I agree with Kai, a nice original piece.

I believe the ribbon you have photographed with it, however, is from a Baden Zahringen Lion award.

Thanks for the replies. I appreciate the ribbon is not the correct one for the medal. I have just purchased a bar with the Anhalt medal on and wanted to make sure this one was OK before putting it on estand.

Sorry for snatching Coburg's thread, but I have a similar question.

Loooking for Anhalt cross for a while, I stumbled upon this one. After comparing to pics of Anhalt crosses i could find on forum, I have no match. The crown is different (more detailed on comparative pieces) as well as pebbling on arms.

My conclusion is the cross on pics attached is fake, but before final decision I'd like to hear your opinion, if it can be a legitimate variant of some sort.

I would tend to agree with you.

It does not look like the standard fakes offered by the club, they seem to be everywhere. Having said that it does not look like any accepted original I have seen or held.
