    Interesting Non-combatant medal bar

    Hi guys....

Here's an interesting non-combatant bar recently added to the collection.

The EK II is a one piece strike. Maker not known. Obviously post 1934 as it is matched with a non-combatant Hindy Cross. Not all noncom EKs were white/black ribboned. Many erre done up with the combat black/white ribbon

A bit dirty and beat up but it is what it is. Any comments welcome.

    Enjoy.

    Tony

The cross looks to have had more wear than the ribbons and backing.

Maybe it's older than you think?

      Cheers,

      Jamie.

        Jamie...

I'm basing the date on the group being post 1934 because of the Hindy.
The cross has some wear but what you see in the corners as well as on the reverse is/was dirt. I dry brushed it off a while after the pics were taken. Need new pics.
The cross could concievably be of an earlier vintage as you suggest but I have no way of verfying that.

          Hi mate,

Yeah, I totally understand your reasoning. I'd conclude the same were it mine. Hopefully someone will chime in.
All that said, it's still nice.

          Cheers,

          Jamie.

            Hi,
I must admit that I really like this one-piece imperial EK2
But in my opinion it is a cross, which was rather hot plugged into this medal-bar. There are visible stains, which would indicate that this could be dug out of the ground ... but it still does not change the fact that I really like this EK2

            Regards
            Jarek

There are hooks, you can hang in what you want (Hindy X or Hindy without X ...)

The bar is a good piece.

                I like those odd one-piece EK2s.

I think this is the same type.
