    WW1 Photo armaments query.

Firstly I apologise for the quality of the photo. I really need a scanner. Can anyone tell me anything about the weapons being used in this photo. It's an image from a WW1 album of mine. The men seem to be firing miniature cannons lit by fuses. Although it's not clear from this reproduction, it can be seen in the picture that they are firing over a river or canal.

I wonder what sort of animals they used to pull those artillery pieces around with.

    Dachshunds?

I'm wondering if it's the 74th Bavarian ferret drawn artillery.

Maybe just a joke for the time of a picture?

              Guess

I'm guessing the first Nerf ball artillery.
