I think the front is okay but the pin and catch has seen repair, the pin is Turkish mint style curly but the catch seems to be replaced later in Europe. None of the two Turkish mint models has a catch as thick as that.
One of my foreign made TWMs has a catch with the similar round base (actually an ellipse) attached to the medal, the medal is unmarked.

This is the front of the TWM with the similar catch style. I have compared the front components, they are very close with some mere differences. I would go ahead and say they have used same pieces.

Nice close-ups. I think this TWM had the same pin and hinge with mine but the needle was replaced and the hooks remained the same. Most of the Germans had the Turkish made medal as well, I think it won't be too far off that he used the pin of the Turkish medal as a replacement for his German made TWM.
