    EKI on ebay

I saw at least 5 of these in Kassel the other week, but have never seen them before. I don't like the iron core, pin or the silver colour but I'm not an expert. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm not fond of this either...I think a not altogether convincing reproduction. Finish does not have the right tone, core details very "soft", and while interesting I do not buy the pin set up whatsoever.

    Cheers,

I agree 100% The core does not look right. The "W" seems to be way to fat.
The maker mark looks like it supposed to be a Godet with silver content marks.
I have not seen that before. Plus I ALWAYS mistrust any ebay cross with side hooks. Usually add to bring the price up.

In the late 20's, early 30's, Godet was using the name and logo' Gebruder Godet & Co'. "Court Jewelers of the World" by Jeffrey R. Jacob

        Worth considering?

Hi Tony. Personally I wouldn't touch it. Here's mine to compare. Unmarked non vaulted variety.

Far too many problems with the ebay one. Core details, proportion, pin and hinge etc. I have also noticed a sudden glut of similar crosses knocking around.
