Cloth Iron Cross 1st Class

Anyone know what manufacturers made cloth IC's or were they privately made?
This one was nailed to a plaque with other war souvenirs. Took a bit to remove it without further damage.

Hi Bobby,

Cloth 1914 EK1s are a big mystery to me. I believe AWS (Albert Werner u. Sohn) made a cloth variation, but beyond that I have no idea. I guess they were made here and there, mostly by request.

I know a bit more,,, not much more then Streptile but ,,1 company fore sure made them .

Deutscher offiziers verein made them available ,,

DOV was the provider to the higher ranking and richer officer ..

more or Les private company founded and run by high ranking officers/ veterans and enlisted officers .

that cloth you have there is the first one I see that is looking convincing to me .

can be wrong but I would like to have it in my collection
