    What's this cross for?

Anyone have some background info on this cross? The front picture isn't too clear; the words say "Allezeit Bereit" It has a high vault and is beautifully made.

Is it WWI era? Post WWI? Some sort of Reservist badge? Common? Scarce?

    Any details would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

          its a veterans badge!
          not that common.
          "awarded" after ww1
Allzeit bereit = everytime ready (some sort of this - sorry for my bad translation)
          but really a nice cross!

Christian is right. Its a "Ehrenzeichen für ehemalige Kriegsfreiwillige 1914-1918" (Honour badge for former warvoluntary) (or so-sorry for my bad translation too )

I like it too. Nice condition

            best,

Thanks -- I sort of figured it was something like that.
