                  Hello,

I would like to contribute to this interesting thread, with some of my pieces.

Greg's fine and old breast cross is part of the order's set so, here's a picture of the complete group to an Ehren-Ritter (a Rechtsritter had the same neck cross, but the ribbon had a coulant embossed with a trophy-of-arms).

The cross is in gold and enamels, made by Rothe:

Now, a further picture with the same neck cross, plus another one, also in gold and enamels, for "Konventual-Kapläne", both cased:

And finally, a further, cased breast cross and a "Marianer-Kreuz" (it was something like a merit cross of the Teutonic Order) with ladies' bow-ribbon:

What a stunning cross Greg. Is this order still in existence?

The Teutonic Order of nowadays has a religious character only.

The "original" order, ceased with the fall of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy, in 1918.
