Has anyone seen anything like this?

These type of remembrance leaflets(Urkunde)are not rare although when the original cardboard tube is still included it will increase it's value.
It would be interesting to be able to read the text on the bottom.

I have my doubts about the authenticity of the medals, better pictures are required to determine this. I assume the medals are hold up by pins going through the leaflet, if so, this is a shame and i would advice not to apply this method of displaying.

I obtained a cardboard tube with multiple leaflets a while back, including the one you show here, all addressed for the same fallen soldier.
Mine is ripped quite badly tho but i wanted the tube with leaflets because it held a rare one with the text:"Ich hatt' einen Kameraden".

I found him in the Volksbund list:

August Böth ruht auf der Kriegsgräberstätte in Thiaucourt-Regniéville.

      Endgrablage: Kameradengrab

      Nachname: Böth
      Vorname: August
      Todes-/Vermisstendatum: 02.11.1914
      Todes-/Vermisstenort: Richecourt bei Metz
