    That song came out in 1966 when iron cross "surfer crosses"
    were a really big thing. They came in lots of styles and sizes.

    This is the one I bought in 1967.

              I remember when she used to appear on the Tommy Hunter show in the 60s. She was very small almost child like in appearance but had a very strong voice.

              She was born in NY but grew up in Ontario where she remained and became somewhat of a star.
