    TWM Gallipoli Star Opinions Wanted

I would like to hear opinions on this TWM / Gallipoli Star / Eiserner Halbmond

Has the catch been repaired? Hinge pin replaced?

Pin appears to have a hallmark in some sort of a cross shape.

Enamel seems to be good, with a surface scratch to the center, right hand area at about 2 o'clock.

Any Red Flags that anyone has?

Thanks in advance for your opinions, I appreciate it!

    All the Best,

    Alan

              Hi Alan,

Looks a good one to me , you might want to check out Tan Berks threads on these. He has just posted a thread on two very similar ones about 6 to 7 threads from the top of the Imperial forum.

It's a good one. I've bid on it but with my questions I pissed off the seller so he did not wanted me to buy it (:

I noticed that there were 2-different bidders who either cancelled their bids, or the seller cancelled their bids on the auction. I wondered what was up with that. I'm sorry to hear that he wouldn't let you bid any further after you asked him questions. That's a bummer

The photos provide by the seller were almost useless. Most were blurry or out of focus. I didn't know about the scratch on the enamel, because he did not mention it in the description (other than to say no cracks or chips to the enamel), and the photos didn't reveal it.

                    All the Best,

                    Alan

                      Hello Alan

The most interesting thing about your new medal is that it has the body of one and the components of the other * marked medal I have. This makes yours a THIRD variation of the * marked crosses, and that was the reason I wanted to but it. Please feel free to contribute on the * thread.
                      YOu can find them here:
