    Postwar EK1 with locking latch?

    Hello to all EK enthusiasts,

Recently I aquired these two postwar EK1's along with a nice Godet EK1.

I have been searching here and through my books trying to determine the maker of the one with what appears to be a securing latch behind the catch.
Oviously this is a private purchase postwar piece but initially I wondered if it might be an AWS EK1?

    Look forward to your thoughts.

      Hi Greg,

The clamshell EK1 is a Deumer probably made during the Third Reich or perhaps Weimar.

The other one is a BH Mayer made after c. 1940 with a locking mechanism added by a jeweler at the request of the wearer. Both very nice EKs.
      Best regards,
      Streptile

Looking for ROUND BUTTON 1939 EK1 Spange cases (LDO or PKZ)

I straight on shot of the core would really help.

The pin looks like a AWS or maybe a BH Mayer.

Thanks for the quick replys guys, here's a front on of the core...sorry for the poor quality close up. The relief of the 1914 is quite flat.

I am fairly certain that it is a B H Mayer

Thanks Greg & Streptile, have attached a pic of the Godet which also came with these two, love the character of this one.
