Here is my first german bayonet. A nice 98/05 neuer Art (new type) with scabbard:

Made by the Waffenfabrik Erfurt:

The maker of the blade: Gottlieb Hammesfahr from Solingen Foche.

Stamped with "W" for Wilhelm II; so it was made for Prussia and with the date "15" (1915). Also with some inspection marks with crown:

Nice one, Jens Now you need a sawback to go with it. And a 1st pattern, and an ersatz, and a ....

No, thanks! One is enough at the moment. But if I should get a sawback for a nice price, maybe........
