    WW1 badge ???

    Hello guys,
    Somebody has information on this badge?
    Time perĂod, (WW1) german, austrian, sniper/shooter, 1. or 2.class, etc.

    Thank you very much, Nelson

    Hello Nelson,

    Welcome to the Forum and thank you for sharing this interesting badge with us. I believe it to be a membership badge for the 'Deutsche Schutzen-Verein' or German Shooting Association, which was (and still is) a semi-formal civilian organization that had many different badges/awards--this one is unfamiliar to me.

    Can we see the reverse in hopes of establishing a general idea of when it was made?

      Hi Eric,
      Thanks! I don't know anything about this badge. I thought that was WW1 militar badge.
      Reverse;

      Do you know how to say the time - period?
      Regards, Nelson

        Well, the type of pin attachment on the reverse dates from the late 20's onwards up to the present. I would have to guess that it is either an interim pre-NS badge or a post-WW2 issue. Maybe another forum member has seen this type before and can elaborate.
