Last week at the flea-market bought a WW1 convolute with 2 stick-pins + a badge. I was unsure where the two stick-pins belonged. The round black enamelled badge I take to be a war / forces sympathizer's badge. The left stick-pin with the capital R, I've since found out is the pin to a commemoration medal - 60th birthday the Crown-prince Rupprecht. One medal side has the same design, the reverse has 60 year anniversary date 8.5.1929 in the catalogue the medal is valued at 265€. The middle piece, I think was for member of 1st Jäger Regiment ( due to green enamel) I'd be interested, if any member has idea roughly of what they are worth ? any info welcome

Rupprecht was quite the guy....even when Hitler took power he stood against the nazis, and had to go into exile as a matter of personal safety as Hitler killed most of the opposition to his policies and demands politicly. Re: value I am not sure....but I would assume the three together would be at least a hundred(not each)...I would check some of the bigger imperial dealers online...like:http://www.germaniainternational.com/kmedals4.html
(you will have to search under stick pins or whatever...but its worth a try....I will let you do all the work yourself .....)

Thanks for the post Juoneen, after reading it I was intrigued enough to read his biography, as you say, he was lucky to keep his head. I have ferreted around on a number of dealers sites, without finding a single Rupprecht stick-pin, however I did find a lapel pin badge (pictures included) - the search continues.
