Hello,

it is an Imperial Austrian "Reiterabzeichen der Kavallerie" or a Riding proficiency badge for the Cavalry.

This actual piece, looks like being made of cast metal, with a few failures, typical of casting: this isn't a good sign, since these badges have been heavily copied.
