it's a little thing,
I'm not too familiar with WW1 EK1 sizes, but I take it there is some differences in size between manufacturers etc.?
EK on left is WW2 btw!

Well, jon's certainly isn't textbook. It has a 'big block' hinge assembly and a crudely rendered crown on the core.

Hi,

I've seen a few KOs like Jon's example. I haven't figured out if they are a genuine variation or some sort or restrike/repro. The hinge is very different, the quality of the core is poor and it's also DIFFERENT (look at the 4) compared to standard KOs. They may be fine, but aesthetically I don't like them. I've owned one in the past but got rid of it because it looked plain ugly - that's personal bias of course.

Jon; That is NOT a textbook KO in my opinion, I feel much more comfortable with the "style" George shows. Matches my pieces with the core and reverse setup.
