I didn't realise there were different KO crosses until I checked mine just now.

The differences that I spotted were that the one on the left has a longer pin and the 1914, W and crown on the cross on the right are different than the other 2.

I don't know if this makes any difference, but the one on the right was awarded in 1921 although I don't know when it was struck.

I have no problems with it. The core may be repainted. Check the inner part of the frame for any traces of paint.

I have one like yours George, but is unmarked, I'll get some pics of it, and some real close-up ones of this one done on Monday. (and see if any repainting has been done)
This was a 5 second buy for me, and in fact got it in with a bag of repros! The reason I agreed it was repro at the time was the 'too nice' paint job and I disregarded it... I couldn't believe my luck when I looked closer later...
I checked in my 'files' of KO marked EKs and it seemed to match a few
here's one (apologise to the owner, I don't know who owns this!) which matches the closest...
          regards

Here's a KO with yet another style of core. Look at the crown.

Pin seems thinner and shorter than your average KO piece.

OK, so I THOUGHT I was in love with mine, but I'm actually in love with Don's!
And on real close inspection, mine could have been repainted, nicely, but repainted none the less...

I have seen a lot of KO crosses. They are here in Germany galore. I have sighted that they come with 2 different needels, slim and short and broad and long. Cores you can find darken black and in glisten black paint. Different shapes of crows as mentioned as well.
Unfortunately I have never seen before such a hindge as Tinmantes has shown here.
Picture below shows the different black.
