This is an x900 closeup of a graves registration man shown in the "Death In The Field" Thread: note that he is wearing the silver Wound Badge, so this dates the last half of 1918. Unfortunately there is no date, name, or place on this photo.

I just noticed this microscopic detail-- the previous "first photographic record" I have seen was dated June 1919.

I might have confirmation coming. Picked up this Saxon photo in Germany, won't know if it's dated until it gets here though!
