    No. It's a common fake.

    There's no clear evidence the first class was ever produced. It was proposed, but never actually issued. So it's deemed unofficial at best. It's likely some specimens were made. If so, they would have most probably been only in pin-back form, I believe. But, likely almost everyone of these on the market today is a fake and many if not all originated from the "Club".

    Other, more knowledgeable WWI collectors can provide more specific details.

          Definitely bad.

          I did have a Meybauer marked pin back once, almost certainly made for the soldier that just had to look that little bit above the rest. I assume certain manufacturers made some up on the chance that people would buy, or maybe they thought the award had been officially sanctioned?

          My guess is very small numbers from a couple of opportunistic manufacturers.
