    its pretty NON enamled time!!!!!!!

    well we had a very very cool thread on all those lovely and exspensive enameled awards and orders so how about a thread on NON enamled awards and orders? the more intresting the better! il start with my favorite peice from imperail collection! its a Max Joseph Order and from what im told its a wearers copy for wear on a medal bar! i also have a great minty unused full lengh peice of ribbion for it to that i got of stogieman that realy make the peice to!! so lets see all those rare or unusal(?) or just plain intresting order and awards that we dont see cos there not enemaled or not the iron cross!!!

    and the back! i think this is just such a great side thats its a pity its worn with it facing on the back! il be posting some more later tomorow!!!

      Are you sure about the identification of the medal you posted? To my eye (but I claim no great expertise) you have posted a beautiful example of the Militär-Verdienst-(Tapferkeits-) Medaille. I know of no medal directly associated with the Militär-Max-Joseph-Orden although the bust & ribbon imply that this medal and the order are related, I believe the relationship is that they represent the highest military awards for officers (the order) and enlisted personnel (this medal).

      The Militär-Max-Joseph-Orden was a white enameled cross with crown on the same ribbon.

                Here is my contribution. Golden Bravery Medal; like paddywacks medal a "Spangenstück" in gold plated bronze but very well struck.

                        and th back of the china medal!!oh and eric what is you nice medal with the cannons and flags on it! havent seen that one!!! but come on guys i know there loads more intresting non enamled awards out there so lets see them!!!
