New Verdun-Article on the way!!!

Hi,

after our third visit to Verdun/France two weeks ago I am working on a third article with many pictures on our website.

Remember, we collect awards of a nation which gave over 100000 of the best it had... their young men... their future. Still thousands of french and german soldiers are buried under the battlefields of Verdun. Everytime we visited the battlefields we found human bones... Remember this battle was the biggest ever fought in history and the most senseless. No one won!

anyone remember...

.... the time-life paperback book about WW1? It was done in the 1960's, had incredible pictures from the woods around Verdun. Piles of bones, shells, bits of boots, etc. still there, gathering moss, 50 years after the fact. They were amazing photos. One would think that a battle like that, that simply ate men and equipment would have made them think twice before WW2 happened.
