    ID Owner of Ribbon Bar

    <HR color=#cfb992 SIZE=1><!-- / icon and title --><!-- message -->

Being new to the forum, is there anyone who might be able to identify the original German owner of this medal bar based on the awards held?? I know this can sometimes be done if the grouping is of unusual medals, but am not an expert in this sort of thing. Any information would be helpful as I got this bar from the US Captain who captured the German officer this belonged to at the end of the war. He was an MP in the US 4th Division.
I had posted this in the Wehrmacht Awards Section and was advised to move it to this forum for response.

    Dear Ron,

Rick Research, Stogieman are 2 of the best in this area. They seem to have all of the rank lists for the ealry 1900s. These guys are amazing on how quickly they can ID a ribbon grouping.

      Unfortunately........

....... I truly have no clue who this is. It's a mighty nice bar though that I'd love to own!

Well, ribbon #2 narrows it down considerably don't you think? I think Rick L. identified him 2 years ago.
        By the way-Stogierick:
My copy of Bayern Goldener Ehrenbuch is in Boston being rebound, otherwise I could tell you about the squadrens/Abteilungs.
As for the SA guy-he's in "5000 Kopfer"-again, in Boston at the moment. Did you try Axis bio research?

that bar looks quite familiar to me. Just some monthes ago somebody else asked for an ID of this.
Is it Your? In Your collection? Will it stay there?

Not to offend You but some of us got already burned as we ID´d stuff like this and found it soon after for sale with proper ID and double or triple price!

          Best regards

            Bar ID

It is not forsale, however, I might be willing to trade on HJ items or NPEA items.
I did post it on GermanDaggers.com and, I believe, here, but never got an answer. Maybe I missed it??
I have a few more complete medal groups that I would like to have ID'ed that are in my collection, but would be more than willing to pay for such a service.
I have been identifying SS numbers for over 20 years now and have given away much information. I also work with Rob McDivitt on some projects and have an extensive library on Third Reich political items. (have several Gau history lists with GPB numbers and some unlisted SS numbers).

I'd reccommend you contact Rick research and offer him a fee to id. this bar. He's got the complete rolls. The Max Joseph Order and other orders narrow it down a LOT. I am certain I have a photo of this guy @1939-wearing his SS uniform.
